I am listening to the Obamacare speech. My God, he is such a liar. Oh, so Obamacare will not insure illegal immigrants. Right. And no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions.
No, you jerk. We believe government will takeover the insurance industry because it is true! It's right there in the bill that if your insurance changes in any way, you will not be able to keep it.
He actually said that companies that don't provide health insurance have an "unfair advantage" over other companies. Is he saying that all companies should be equal? How far a step is it to demand that all people be equal and all wealth be redistributed?
Breaking News: Insurance companies try to make money. They are not charities, for crying out loud!! We have such a sense of entitlement in this country. I am uninsurable. We cannot get private health insurance because of an incurable genetic disease I have. So my husband makes sure that he is able to be covered under a group policy. If he had to go out and get a crappy job that he hated, he would do that because that's what it takes.
What is wrong with people paying for the services they receive?
I'm against Medicare, President Obama. I am also against Social Security. I am also against the Federal Department of Education. I am against Government interfering where it is not allowed by the Constitution.

See that guy on the left there? Mr. Lowrimore, whose first name I cannot recall. He stopped by a Republican booth at the Porter Peach Festival on Saturday. He proceeded to tell me that he was a democrat and he was running for County Commissioner in Muskogee County, as well as City Council in Muskogee. The next 20 minutes made my IQ go down at least 50 points (Don't worry- it came back). Let me just make a list of the idiotic/crazy weird things he said.
Healthcare "reform" is going to happen simply because Obama says it will. (I told him that nothing could happen without Congress and he said that didn't matter because Obama already said it)
Bush was the worst president ever because John Kerry said so
We should punish success by taxing the rich more
There are too many old people in public office
He hopes to get the County Commissioner job more than the City Council job because the Commissioner job pays $59,000 a year
He is going to get the "black vote" by playing rap music.
Numerous references to how fat his opponent is and how he needs to go on a diet
Declared he was in favor of socialism
He is being endorsed by the Republican mayor of Muskogee because they are friends
He wants to be rich someday, but by then the economy will be better and the huge tax increases on the rich will be rolled back in 3 years by Obama ("I read it on Yahoo") so he won't have to pay them
He is going to have teenage cheerleaders wearing his tshirts at some event- the fat opponent won't get the cheerleaders
At the debate/forum he is hoping to have with this opponent, friends are going to be sitting behind him to say "Amen" and "Right on" and that will help him win
He is going to kick his opponent's butt at the debate (I told him if he uses the same logic there that he was using talking to me, he will fail miserably. He wasn't even phased by this or my other insults. Almost like he didn't understand.)
This guy was so idiotic I kept saying to him, "You're kidding right?" and "This has to be a joke," and "You cannot be for real." All the while he was smiling and didn't have ANY valid arguments against anything I said, or against anything other people said to him. He wasn't just a passionate democrat engaging a republican in debate. He was DUMB, el stupido, elevator not going all the way to the top floor. He could not refute anything that was said, he just went on with more mind numbingly stupid things. I am still not totally convinced that it wasn't some jokester. Is it possible for anyone to be that stupid? Then I think, "Well, just look at Congress." This guy doesn't belong in a county commissoner office. He belongs in DC.

Bobbie McAuliffe is not one to sit back and watch the world go by without trying to make a difference. This weekend as she watch the events unfold in Iran she challenged herself to begin a mission and try to make a difference, even a small one. McAuliffe will be on the lawn of the LeFlore County Courthouse in front of the WWII Memorial protesting the ever-growing national debt.
“Events taking place in Iran have prompted me to begin a mission to wake up my fellow citizens to what I believe we are not very far from here in the United States," said McAuliffe. “I am very concerned about the direction our country is headed and I don't like it. We have been on the wrong road for decades. It did not just happen in January of this year.”
She organized a well attended tea party in Poteau on April 15, and she has planned another for this Saturday, June 27.

Wall Street and the automakers made their own bed. They should have been allowed to crash and burn, but they made poor business decisions and were rewarded for it with no accountability.

The current administration’s budget for FY-2010 is three times that of any previous administration and that is outrageous.
I do not believe the American Dream is to bankrupt yet unborn future generations but that is what is happening.
The national debt clock this week says each of us owes well over $36 thousand dollars and it is increasing by about $12 every day. How are we ever going to pay it off? Taxes collected do not even cover the interest on that debt.
I counted 311 names on the LeFlore County fallen heroes’ monument in front of the courthouse. All of my buddies are WWII, Korea and Vietnam veterans; my daughter is a veteran. I am doing this for them, and for my grandchildren.
The fallen did not die and the veterans did not serve so we could become a socialist nanny state, or worse. If I do not at least try to wake up my fellow citizens, my grandchildren will never know the America I grew up in.

It was a few weeks ago that Obama announced his effort to cut spending by $100 million from the federal government. I came across this video today and thought it was still worth blogging about.
